Short info on the Acupressure Mat and Pillow

  • This is inspired by ancient healing traditions similar to acupuncture.
  • Thin mat and pillow are covered in plastic spikes, but it doesn’t hurt the skin.
  • Some comments have been an improvement on energy, happiness, clarity,  and relaxation.
  • If used regularly it says the mat may increase energy level, improve blood circulation, decrease stress, relieve neck and back pain, alleviate headaches, and improve sleep.

Acupressure? What is it?

As mentioned, acupressure is an ancient practice similar to acupuncture. Instead of needles, pressure is applied to certain points of the body. Acupressure’s goal is to “bring about relief through greater balance and circulation of fluids (blood, lymph) and metabolic energies in the body (heat, qi)”.

Start Your Day the Ziva Way

I first saw this mat on Emily Fletcher’s (from Ziva Meditation) morning routine video. I like Emily (you’ll probably like her too). I think she is cool. She’s “normal”, not hippy dippy as she calls it. She’s like me. If you’re interested in the video, you can see it here.
In a nutshell, she shows her Ayurvedic morning routine designed to elevate performance and prep the body for meditation and she’s stepping on this mat and I was curious because all the other things on the video I know are good for you, like drinking hot water in the morning (I drink mine with doterra lemon) and oil pulling (also use 2 doterra oils with my coconut oil) and so I was like what is that mat? I had to order it!

Did it work for me?

I had a bad headache one day and this is the only thing that could help me. I used the pillow. At first when I laid down on it, the pokeys hurt! (in a good way). It stimulated my head. And then after awhile it got to be too much and then I had to switch places. I kept on doing this all over my head and neck. It helped bring relief to my headache BIG TIME.
I love to lay on the mat. I really like this mat. It feels great and It’s good for me which I love! I cannot yet step all over it yet like Emily does, but I am going to put it in front of my bed like she does so I am stimulating pressure points from when I first wake up!
